BOMBER MEMORIAL

RICHARD JOHN "RICH" CONWAY ~ Class of 1972
June 29, 1954 - November 3, 2018

Rich Conway

Written by Peg Adair ('72) after her phone conversation with Rich's wife, Robyn:

"Rich Conway married longtime friend, Robyn Winchel ('73) in 1977. In fact, Rich knew her from the age of three as his mother was her babysitter. They started dating in 1971.

He worked for Chevron Corp. as a Chief Financial Officer for the Lube Oil Additive Division. His career required extensive travel which Robyn always got to join. From all the 'best restaurants', Rich acquired the art of cooking gourmet meals at home. He was one of those select people who could taste every spice and herb. Robyn said, 'He did all the grocery shopping and cooking, and I cleaned.' They had a wonderful marriage with two sons, ages 40 and 44.

At the age of 55, Rich retired and enjoyed life to the fullest until passing on November 3, 2018.

Rich enjoyed golfing and upland game hunting, but his passion was cooking superb gourmet meals. He put his recipes into a book titled I Feel Medium, which Robyn has a funny story for the reason he called it that. The book had limited publishing, so it is not available.

The Conway's resided in Mesa, AZ."
