George Garrett Ervin, 18, of Richland died April 30, 1973, in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

He was born in Richland on August 9, 1954, and graduated from Richland's Columbia High School in 1972.

George was a freshman at Columbia Basin College, an assistant scoutmaster and member of Eagle Scout Troop 228. He built boats and was active in woodworking.

Survivors include his parents, Glenn and Hazel Ervin; his sisters, Glenda Ervin Clemans ('61) (William) and Pam Ervin ('70); and his grandmother, Mrs. A. P. Breckon.

Services were held May 3, 1973, in Einan's Funeral Home with Alfred Lee officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society c/o of Mrs. L. L. Brammer at 2401 Tinkle in Richland.
