PETRA ROSE GIANGRANDE NASH ~ Class of 1972
March 9, 1954 - January 22, 2025

Petra Giangrande

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Petra Rose Nash (née Giangrande) of Richland, Washington, who left us on January 22, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on March 9, 1954, in Giessen, Germany, Petra was the beloved daughter of George and Ingeborg Giangrande (née Ranft), both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her cherished husband of 26 years, Robert Earl Nash, who passed away in 2009.

Petra’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and joy. She was a loving mother to her three children: Kassandra Baxter (née Murry), Dallas Murry Jr., and Lindsey Clark (née Nash). She was a proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She also shared a close bond with her siblings, Peter Giangrande and Michelle Giangrande. Petra's family extended beyond blood—she was also a beloved sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Petra worked for over 30 years at JC Penney, where she formed lifelong friendships and made a lasting impact on all who knew her. She took great pride in her work, but it was her love of family, animals, and passions that truly defined her.

Petra was a woman of deep affection for the whimsical and fantastical, with a particular fondness for unicorns and dragons. A devoted Miami Dolphins fan, she brought her own unique spirit to every part of life. Whether she was caring for her pets, sharing a laugh with her friends, or showing love to her family, Petra’s warmth and kindness were felt by all who crossed her path.

Petra is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a wide circle of family and friends. She will be remembered for her infectious laughter, her love for life, and her unwavering devotion to those she held dear.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Parish in Kennewick on Thursday, January 30th, 2025 at 1:00 PM.

Immediately preceding the service will be a rosary/vigil prayer service at noon. Address: 520 South Garfield Street, Kennewick, Washington, 99336.

She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
