Mary Hinrichs

Mary was born on December 27, 1953, to Kenneth and Valentene Hinrichs in Kansas City, MO. She passed away peacefully on August 2, 2011, surrounded by her family in Vancouver, WA.

She graduated from Richland's Columbia High School in 1972 and attended Eastern Washington State University and Washington State University. She worked in the nuclear power industry as a Project Management Support Specialist at nuclear power plants in Washington, Oregon, Texas, California, Indiana, Alabama, and Illinois before returning to her home in Richland.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Hinrichs Sr and Valentene Hinrichs.

She is survived by her children: Christian Swanberg IV of Richland and Ashley (Joey) Colter of Vancouver, WA; step-daughter, Lisa Swanberg of Kennewick; granddaughters, McKenzie and Addison Colter of Vancouver, WA.; significant other, Patrick Wooten of Richland; brother, Ken Hinrichs Jr ('63 honorary) of Richland; and sisters, Christine (Dave) ('65) Rhoades of Kennewick and Michele Davis ('74) of Silverdale, WA.

Special thanks to the staffs of Kadlec Hospital in Richland and the Ray Hickey Hospice in Vancouver, WA. Their consideration and good work are greatly appreciated by her family.
