David Allen Hughes, 64, of Richland passed away on February 15, 2018. He was born in Newport News, VA on September 24, 1953 to his parents, Max D. and Florence E. Hughes.

David graduated from Richland's Columbia High School in 1972. In 1974 he graduated from Denver Automotive. David then went to CBC and joined the Welding Program from 1976-1979 and was a graduate of Tacoma City Light Apprentice Program.

He was very proud to be a part of St. Jude Hospital and was proud to be part of the I.B.E.W. Local 77. He worked for the City of Richland Electrical Department as the Meter Power and Protection Foreman (MPP Foreman).

David is survived by his brother, Bill Max Hughes (HHS); sister, June Catherine Wescott Hughes (HHS); brother, James Paul Hughes; sister, Lisa Robbin Hughes; brother, Shawn Eric Hughes; and his aunts, uncles and cousins in Heber Springs, AR.

He was preceded in death by his father, Max D. Hughes; his mother, Florence E. Hughes; and his sister, Suzanne Hughes Dardin ('73), who passed away on October 10, 1998.

Services were held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 5:00pm at Events at Sunset, 915 ByPass Hwy in Richland.
