Mark Martini

Mark William Martini, 22, of Richland died May 20, 1977, at McKay Hospital in Odgen, UT from injuries he received in a car accident.

He was born June 7, 1954, in Los Angeles and had lived in the Tri-Cities ten years. He was a chemical engineer for the University of Washington.

Mark was a member of the First Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Richland.

He graduated from Richland's Columbia High School in 1972 and attended Brigham Young University.

He served a church mission in Italy, was a former Eagle Scout and an honor student at BYU. Mark won the church Duty to God award and received the Clyde Engineering scholarship and the Norcus award from BYU.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William R. Martini; brother, Dave Martini ('71); sisters: Jan Marie Martini (HHS), Robin Martini (HHS) and Elizabeth Martini; his fiancée, Bonnie Mitchell; and grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. I. O. Martini and Mr. and Mrs. E. Goodenough.

Services were held May 23, 1977, at the church at 1720 Thayer Drive in Richland with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

His father, Dr. William Rogers "Bill" Martini, passed away at the age of 59 on April 10, 1986.

His brother, Dave Martini ('71), passed away on July 6, 2021.
