Betty F. Shepard, a resident of Washington, D.C. since 1976 passed away on May 11, 2002. She was born on August 11, 1954.

She graduated with the Class of 1972 from Richland's Columbia High School. Betty was a graduate of Washington State University summa cum laude in 1976, Georgetown Law Center in 1979, member of Phi Beta Kappa and the District of Columbia Bar Association and worked as a management analyst in the Office of Civil Rights, Department of Education.

She is survived by her parents, Ethel and Donald F. Shepard ^Sr of Richland; brothers, Donald Shepard ^Jr ('65) of Bellevue and David Shepard ('69) of Wapato; and her exclusive other, John Chester of Washington, D.C.

Services and interment were private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Columbia River Exhibition of History, Science and Technology (CHREST); 95 Lee Boulevard; Richland, WA 99352.

Note:

Her mother passed away at the age of 86 on June 10, 2002.

Her father passed away at the age of 85 on July 29, 2003.
