JEFFERY ALAN "JEFF" SMITH ~ Class of 1972
November 29, 1953 - March 26, 2025

Jeffery Alan Smith, aged 71, of Richland, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025, at Chaplaincy Hospice House in Kennewick, WA. He was born on November 29, 1953, in Richland, WA to Leonard and June Smith.
He graduated with the Class of 1972 from Richland's Columbia High School.
Jeff worked at Hanford for most of his adult life in transportation, as well as performing water quality testing, before retiring at the age of 58.
Jeff is survived by his brother, Roger Smith of Pasco, WA; his sister, Janet Wilson of Shoreline, WA; nieces - Sarah Crowder, Emily Crowder, Jenny Smith, Traci Smith, Amy Smith (deceased) and Amanda Anderson; as well as numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, June Smith (Fuller); father, Leonard Smith; aunt, Rose McKinney; and his grandparents.
Jeff led a full life. He enjoyed his gun collection, road trips, and tinkering with his vehicles. He possessed a dry sense of humor and was a devoted friend.
A get-together for friends and family to remember Jeff will be held on Saturday, May 10th, 2025 at Sterlings in Richland, WA from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home in Kennewick is in charge of the arrangements.
