Randall "Randy" Wayne Watson, 50, of Spokane, passed away April 4, 2005 in Spokane. He was born June 8, 1954 in Kennewick, WA to Wendell and Joycelyn Watson.

He lived in the Tri-Cities through high school, attending Lewis and Clark Elementary in Richland (with the Class of 1972 from Richland's Columbia High school) and Edison Elementary in Kennewick and then Highlands Junior High. He was the first student to graduate from Kamiakin High School in January 1972.

At the age of 19, Randy joined the Army. At 21 he married Mary Ann Szulinski of Richland. After an honorable discharge he worked construction and used the GI bill to attend WSU. He became fluent in Japanese and spent several years teaching at a middle school in Japan. He was a prolific student and loved the college life, earning a Master’s Degree in Pharmacology, and was completing certification to become a chemical dependency counselor. He spent the past three years on military disability.

Randy is survived by his mother, Joycelyn "Lyn" Rosler-Olivier; his step-father, Art Olivier; brothers: Steve Watson of Dallas, TX and Chuck Watson of Kennewick; sisters: Carol Thomas of Great Falls, MT and Kippy Myers of Eltopia, WA; several assorted nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wendell Watson who passed away on September 10, 1985; and his brother, Cory Watson who passed away December 20, 1999 at the age of 39.

Memorial services were held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Cathedral of Joy.
